Diva #315 - Molygon
This is a tangle I have tried numerous times since it was introduced early last year but not to my satisfaction. If I get the shapes OK, I stuff up the fill or the other way around. This time I watched the Kitchen Table Tangle video. I also paid more attention to my take offs and landings.
My first tile is my attempt at closely following the video (afterwards, not during as that has proven impossible for me in the past). While it doesn't look like Maria's I'm still quite pleased with it. Maybe I've got the knack of this tangle now?
Following this success I created another tile. So brave of me. For this one I went to the Molygon step outs to get ideas for filing them. I ended up filing them with a sort of Flux. I then added Tropicana as a ribbon to finish off, with little bits of Molygon escaping.

I haven't done this one yet. I'll get there later in the week.
Other drawing
I played around with the new tangle from last week's Diva challenge (can't remember what it was called) and an ensemble. It looked better in my head than in reality. Oh well.
Thanks for dropping by. I do visit lots of your blogs but don't leave comments as often.

Wonderful Molygon :-)
I especially like your second molygon tile - a lovely flower variation!
Beautiful Molygon Tiles! The first one is very reminiscent of Michele Beauchamp's style. I love the red.... very effective! The other tile is very delicate! Love them both!
I really like both of your Molygon tiles. They are so different from each other. Can't say I like one better than the other. And your ensemble of Scallamp is beautiful. I also do that not liking thing when it doesn't do what I thought it should, but then later it turns into one of my favorites! LOL It's the doing that counts anyway.
I've got to admit I'm never crazy about my Molygons either but I do like how you've made your look. Hope you can beat the fatigue, sending good vibes :)
Harry Potter works on nearly everything, so I hope you feel better soon. I love your version of the kitchen table tile and then your own take on it. Like you, I find filling the segments a bit of a challenge, partly because I think maybe I draw too many of them and make them small. The Scallamps set id also preety cool, a clever idea and nicely done.
I think your ensemble is lovely. I like this idea and may try my hand at in the near future.
Your Zendala molygon is tangled with beautiful precision, loving the aura.
Great Molygon tiles (to be honest I never use this tangle, just had forgotten it and it's not a favorite). I also like your ensemble very much. Take care and enough rest!!!!
O, I just forgot to say: Happy (belated) Birthday!!!!!
Happy Birthday! Great tangling. I struggle with Molygon too. Slowing it down makes a lot of difference. Looking at your tiles, I wouldn't have guessed you had a problem with it. And I love the little bits floating away. The ensemble is very interesting. Great use of colour. Be happy with it :)
Both are beautiful tiles and I love the flux fill in the second.
Lovely work! I love the Flux fills too. I've been playing with Molygon a lot this week and always seem to default to the orb fills😉
Your Molygon is really well drawn, and I love the Scallamps with the gem-like centers!
Nice dimension on your Molygon!
